Infant Audiological Assessment
Visual Reinforcement Orientation Audiometry (VROA) is a hearing test commonly used for babies and young children from around 7 months to 3 years of age.
During the test, your child hears different sounds through a loudspeaker and is encouraged to turn towards an animated toy when a sound is heard. This allows the audiologist to assess how your child responds to sounds at different levels.
It is safe, non-invasive and designed to make hearing testing fun and engaging for little ones.
Play Audiometry
Hearing tests for children aged 3–5 years are designed to be interactive and engaging. Your child wears headphones and listens to different sounds, responding when they hear a sound by completing a simple activity, such as building a block tower or placing a puzzle piece.
For speech testing, your child may also be asked to identify pictures or repeat words heard through the headphones, depending on their age and ability.
Adult Comprehensive Audiological Assessment
A comprehensive hearing assessment includes video otoscopy, pure-tone audiometry with air and bone conduction testing, tympanometry and acoustic reflex testing to assess middle ear function, and speech testing.
The assessment takes approximately 30 minutes.
